T.W.P.C.A. - Sewer Information

The Thompson Water Pollution Control Authority (T.W.P.C.A.) operates the sanitary sewer system in a limited area of town.

Sewer Usage Fees are due in two (2) installments. The first installment is due October 1st, and you have until November 1st to pay on-time. This covers usage from July 1 through December 31. The second installment is due on April 1st and you have until May 1st to pay on-time.This covers usage from January 1 through June 30.

The sewer bills are mailed once each year in October; no additional mailings will be sent for the April installment. Thompson uses a flat-rate billing system which is currently $630.00 per unit annually (updated 9/15/2023).

Payment Options:

  • In the Tax Collector's Office; we accept Cash or Checks only (make checks payable to T.W.P.C.A.) It is preferable to pay multiple bills on one check.
  • After Hours Drop Boxes; we have installed two different secure drop boxes for your convenience. They're located at the Lower-level main entrance (next to the flag pole) and the Upper-level rear entrance. Please include your bills and put your name & daytime phone# on your envelope in case we have questions.
  • Pay by mail; via U.S.P.S. (use PO Box 845, North Grosvenordale, CT 06255) or Overnight Delivery via UPS or FedEx (use 815 Riverside Drive, North Grosvenordale, CT 06255). We accept Postmark as date of payment.
  • At this time neither credit cards nor on-line payments are accepted for T.W.P.C.A.
