Thompson's Suffrage100 Committee is planning six months of events from May to October commemorating the 100th year anniversary of the passing of the 19th Amendment to shine a spot light on the importance of voting and to increase voter registration. Watch for events beginning with a march in the Memorial Day Parade to live performances including Sheryl Faye as Susan B. Anthony in June, a concert in Riverside Park in July, a "No More Pink Teas" tea at Roseland Cottage in August, and two perfomances by the TMHS Modern Ensemble Band in June and October at Community Day.  This is an inclusive committee and we welcome interested residents. For more general information please visit the Connecticut Suffrage Centennial website or to become involved locally contact the Town Clerk, Renee Waldron at 860-923-9900 or [email protected].   Program supported by CT Humanities.  Click on the picture below to browse the Six Months of Suffrage Program.
