Invitation to Bid on the Purchase of

0 South Shore Road Property

The Board of Selectman of the Town of Thompson, per Town ordinance 10-014, hereby provides notice that the Town is soliciting bids for the purchase and sale of a  .16 +/- acre parcel of real estate owned by the Town known as  0 South Shore Road in Thompson, CT and shown on Assessor’s map 133 Block 1 Lot 48A.

 Sealed bids in the form of a proposed purchase and sale agreement will be accepted at the office of the First Selectman, 815 Riverside Drive, PO Box 899, North Grosvenordale, CT  06255 until Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at noon (12:00 pm.)   Bids must be in a sealed envelope with a notation of Sealed Bid – 0 South Shore Road on the envelope

Sealed bids will be opened on August 17, 2021 at the 7:00 p.m.  Board of Selectmen meeting, or at another Board of Selectmen meeting.  Award of contract shall be made, if at all, to the highest, responsible and qualified bidder. The Town of Thompson reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, to waive defects in same, or to accept any proposal it deems to be in the Town’s best interest. The Town of Thompson reserves the right to negotiate with any bidder prior to award.  The Town may make investigations to the extent it deems necessary in order to determine the bidder's qualification. To that end, the Town of Thompson reserves the right to award this contract, if at all, to a bidder other than the highest bidder.
