How can I get involved?

Thompson’s efforts to redevelop its brownfields and revitalize the BAR Project Area are paying off – with our progress recognized by many State and federal officials, the CT Trust for Historic Preservation, and other agencies and organizations. But maintaining this momentum and realizing the goals of the BAR project will require the long-term input, energy, and guidance of the community.

Ways in which you can help:

  • Attend and participate in upcoming public informational meetings to let your opinion be known
  • Contact your representatives in the Connecticut General Assembly and in Washington to show your support for the Town’s efforts to revitalize
  • Volunteer to participate in Town committees and other initiatives that will be formed to promote a vibrant BAR Project area

We welcome your ideas and participation. Watch this website and local newspapers for announcements of special events, meetings and other ways you can get involved.
