Town of Thompson Code Adoption Ordinance

In 2021, the Town of Thompson began a two-year code organization project.  The first part of the process was paid for with funds from the Historic Documents Preservation Grant which the Town Clerk received and the second half was paid from the town budget for a total cost of $9900.   General Code was hired to complete this project. The first step in this process was an analysis of the Town’s code of ordinances and review of the newly adopted Planning and Zoning regulations.  The analysis consisted of identifying conflicting or inconsistent language in the codes.  This was done in review with the Planning and Zoning Commission as well as other regulatory boards for which the codes have an impact.  The second part of the project was the reorganizing and online formatting of the code of ordinances.

The provisions of the Code, insofar as they are substantively the same as those of the ordinances in force immediately prior to the enactment of the Code by this ordinance, are intended as a continuation of such ordinances and not as new enactments. All such provisions are hereby continued in full force and effect and are hereby reaffirmed as to their adoption by the Town.  For addition information click on the links below:
