Information regarding COVID-19

In order to reinforce appropriate social distancing measures, and in compliance with Governor Lamont’s executive order to Stay Safe, Stay at Home, Thompson Town Hall is currently closed to the public.

Town Hall staff will continue to work on behalf of our residents. We are available via phone or email during adjusted hours. Current on-site hours for the Building and Finance Office are Mon-Thu, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. The Selectmen's Office, Town Clerk, Tax Office, Assessor, and Planning & Development will have staff on site Mon-Thu, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Days and hours for part-time staff will vary; but, all municipal employees may be reached via email. For the duration of the COVID-19 response, town offices will be closed to staff on Fridays to allow for weekly deep cleaning. At this time, all Public Library and Recreation programs are cancelled through May 20, 2020 at which point they will be reevaluated. Staff for the Recreation Department and the Library are available via email, and will post updates on their respective Facebook pages as they develop.

We have created this page as a place to share information with our residents who may have been directly impacted by the necessary precautionary measures. Below are links to CDC information regarding the virus; CT State Resources; Resources for Businesses; Childcare Assistance; Energy/Fuel Assistance; Food Assistance; Mortgage/Rental Assistance; Unemployment Assistance.   As we are able to identify additional resources for Thompson residents, we will continue to update this page. Daily updates will be indicated in red text.
