Invitation to Bid – Town Hall Informational Sign

The Town of Thompson is seeking bids for the replacement of the current sign in front of Town Hall with an updated unit. Town Hall is located at 815 Riverside Drive, North Grosvenordale CT.

Scope of Project: Design, build and install a steel frame-construction sign with aluminum clad panels finished in automotive paint; stone veneer base with cap; a 3’ x 8’ full color electric message center, double-sided, with cloud based software; internally illuminated; solar powered.

Application should include:

1.  Plan design

2.  Cost breakdown for the project including:

a. Design

b. Labor

c. Materials

d. Other fees - specify

3. Proof of insurance

Sealed Bid – Town Hall Informational Sign must appear on the outside of the bid package envelope. Sealed bids must be received by the First Selectman’s Office, Town of Thompson Town Hall, P.O. Box 899, 815 Riverside Drive, North Grosvenordale, CT 06255-0899 no later than 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2019. All requested information must be included. Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted. Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered.

Bids will be clocked in upon receipt, and publicly opened and read aloud at the June 18, 2019 meeting of the Board of Selectmen at 7:00 pm in the Merrill Seney Community Room at the Town Hall. A decision will be made at a regular or special meeting of the Board of Selectmen to be scheduled.

The Town of Thompson reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or any part thereof, and to waive and informality in the process to serve the best interests of the Town of Thompson. The Town reserves the right, either before or after the opening of the proposals, to ask any proposer to clarify its proposal or submit additional information that the Town, in its sole discretion, deems desirable.

Prices must be firm for a period of not less than one hundred and twenty (120) days following the bid opening. Bid withdrawal may be made only with the consent of the Town of Thompson.
