Connecticut Energy Assistance Program

TEEG is a Community Action Agency that serves as an application site for the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP). Residents of Pomfret, Thompson and Woodstock who are disabled or 60 years of age or older may apply at TEEG.

The Connecticut Energy Assistance Program is designed to help offset the cost of heating in the winter months for Connecticut's households whose income falls at or below 60 percent of the state median income. The program aids with expenses for an eligible household’s primary heating source such as oil, natural gas, electricity, propane, kerosene, coal, wood or wood pellets.

Throughout the month of September, TEEG will be visiting local congregate housing sites and will be accepting office appointments for residents of Pomfret, Thompson and Woodstock. TEEG will be performing on-site visits for residents of the following housing locations on the specified dates below:

Gladys Green and Pine View Courts 500 Riverside Drive Thompson Location: 9/4/19 & 9/5/19

New Roxbury Village 60 Butts Road Woodstock Location: 9/10/19  

Residents must make an appointment to take advantage of on-site applications at these locations. TEEG will also be offering in-house application appointments at the TEEG office at 15 Thatcher Road in North Grosvenordale on September 11, 17, 18 and 19. Applications are by appointment only. Applications will be available after September 19 until the program expires in March of 2020.
