THOMPSON PUBLIC LIBRARY/ COMMUNITY CENTER Thompson Public Library/Louis P. Faucher Community Center is a 20,400 square foot facility, which opened in 1994. The collection consists of 55,000 items -- books, audiobooks on tape & CD, large print books, videotapes & DVDs, music CDs, 130+ magazine & newspaper subscriptions. Some of the many services and programs offered include: online databases available 24/7, free wifi, homebound delivery, a play corner in the Children’s Area, Art @ the Library, downloadable audiobooks, movies on the BIG screen, public photocopier, test proctoring, and passes to local attractions. During 2009/2010, the Library had 49,206 visitors, loaned 86,895 items, answered 15,837 reference questions, provided 3,595 hours of computer use to 3,711 patrons, hosted 1,385 meetings, and shared stories and programs with 4,851 children & families.
